On her 10th day as Provisory Prosecutor General, Arta Marku has removed Prosecutor Rovena Gashi as Director of Foreign Jurisdictional Relations, and was replaced by Arqile Koci, member of the Prosecution General.
Koci will also manage the decriminalization sector, which verifies the integrity of officials.
Gashi was appointed Prosecutor at the decriminalization sector, in which she signed recently the request for removing the mandates of MPs Aqif Rakipi and Gledion Rahovica. The Democratic Party considered this move as a direct revenge of the SP to defend his friend, according to the DP, Aqif Rakipi.
Alketa Zifla was appointed Head of the cabinet for Arta Marku, while the biggest local Prosecution of Albania, that of Tirana, will now be led by Dritan Rreshka, one of the leaders of the Task Force unit established year ago by US support. Rreshka replaces his former director, Petrit Fusha.
These moves came after the newly appointed Provisory Prosecutor General had a meeting with the Interior Minister, Fatmir Xhafaj
