Protests in Kosovo, 30-day detention for MP with AAK

The Prishtina Court accepted the Prosecution’s request for a 30-day
detention of Donika Kajda-Bujupi, MP with the Alliance for the Future of
Kosovo.

The MP was arrested for the turmoil caused in the plenary session of the Parliament, where they were discussing the draft-budget for the next year.

The decision of the Court brought protest in support of the opposition. They burned a vehicle in front of the government’s building, while the police intervened with tear gas to disperse the crowd.

The opposition MP say they are determined to continue their protests against the agreements with Serbia and the border demarcation with Montenegro.
