Important national roads in Southern and Northern Albania have been blocked by the opposition’s protesters around noon. Protests of the Socialist Party supporters took place in Vlore, Fier, Durres,
Kavaje and Lezhe. Hundreds of others continue
staying in front of the Central Election Commission building.

Around 11:00, dozens of people blocked the main Kavaja road. They replied to the appeal for protesting, and together with the new Mayor of the city they blocked the national road Kavaja-Durres.

Several tires were placed and burned in the middle of the road. The few police forces were unable to intervene for opening the way.

Around 12:00, thousands of Durres citizens, leaded by Socialist Deputies, marched from the city centre towards the highway Tirana-Durres.

Initially, the protesters blocked the lane that leads to Tirana, but afterwards they blocked both ways. Their movement was made under the eye of the police, which were not able to stop them. During this protest there were no incidents.

Same situation was repeated in Fier. The Protesters gathered at the city center then marched towards the national road by blocking it. They also burned tires in the middle of the road. The police have simply accompanied the protesters without confronting them.

At 11:30, citizens in Vlore started a long march with protesters who stopped at the Mifoli Bridge. They blocked the national road Vlore-Fier, by not allowing vehicles to move.

The road Tirana-Shkoder was also blocked. Hundreds of opposition supporters blocked the road, leaded by the deputies Tom Doshi, Paulin Sterkaj and Gjovalin Kadeli, staying under the eye of the Police.
