A protest has started today in Himara against the demolition of 19
buildings in the town center, as part of the urban requalification of
the Spile area.
Himara citizens addressed the Mayr in Greek language: “Are you proud that you have removed four families from Himara? How many others will you make go away? This is what you call a revival?”
The protest leaders appealed Himara citizens to be united, so that no one will take away the lands of their forefathers.
They opposed the demolishing of their buildings and said they would die in front of their buildings.
