The Vakuf village in the Kastriot Commune, Peshkepia, is having a problem with the tap water that has lasted for two weeks.

200 families of this village have been suffering the lack of tap water and have been forced to travel 5 kilometers on foot.

“We have complained everywhere, but there has been no solution”.

“We don’t know what the problem is”, residents say.

The village reed, Dilaver Ciku, sasys that any time he addressed to the commune for a solution, the “Head of the Comune and the District Leader have given no answer”.

In this problematic village there is a network of canalization that threatens the citizens’ health.

“The hygiene is very bad. We risk taking infections”, a nurse says.

The village is close to the city of Peshkopia, but far from the attention of institutions. This can be seen by the degradation of vital services.
