The civil society and dozens of citizens gathered in front of the Prime
Minister’s office to protest against the arrival of the Syrian chemical
weapons for being dismantled in Albania.
Civil society activists made an appeal to the Prime Minister to reject the arrival of the chemical weapons.
“Albania belongs to the Albanian people, not to politicians. Albania belongs to the Albanian people, not to the internationals. This matter can only be decided by the sovereign, and we are here today to express our stance against it”, activists said.
After staying for 30 minutes in this square, dozens of Albanian citizens held a peaceful meeting in front of the United States Embassy, where they asked Albania to be protected from chemical weapons.
