The civil protest against the dismantling of Syrian chemical weapons in
Albania has escalated. Dozens of citizens, activists and
environmentalists have protested at the Prime Minister’s office against
the government’s decision to favor the Syrian chemical weapons in
Albania.
The protesters asked the government to oppose the chemical weapons which, according to him, are endangering the future of our country. But the citizens were hampered by the police, who asked them to cancel this organization because a protest of the Democratic Party was planned at 14:00, against the vote purchase in Korce.
The organizers of the protest against the chemical weapons declared that this Tuesday at 13:00 they will hold another protest at the International Center of Culture, this time organized by the Alliance Against Waste Import.
Organizers say that the protest will start at the main boulevard of Tirana and then will continue in front of the United States embassy. On Wednesday, the protest against the chemical weapons will be held at the Skenderbej Square.
