Andon Mehillaj was interrogated at Prison 302 almost one month after turning himself over at the Vlore Prosecution.

The Prosecutors of Serious Crimes and Mehillaj’s lawyers arrived in the prison for receiving the final version of the defendant, who is also known as Erjon Mehillaj, for the criminal episodes that he has been accused by the other defendant and repented criminal, Julian Sinanaj.

No detail was given from the questioning session, due to the investigation secrecy, not even for the position held by the defendant who is accused of ordering and serving as middle man for paid assassinations. Another source said for Top Channel that the investigators have interrogated other defendants, such as Ndricim Gjokona, also a collaborator with the justice, and Ilir Karcini.

Gjikona was accused by Julian Sinanaj as his collaborator in the paid assassinations, while the gas businessman has denied having paid Sinanaj for the murder of Pirro Bare.

Andon Mehillaj faces four counts, starting from the charges of murder for Sokol Veizi and Agron Cela, and to the illegal arm possession. Mehillaj is described in a confession of Sinanaj as a construction businessman and land owner in Karaburun who had ordered him to commit several murders, and also to place remotely controlled explosives in the apartment of Parliament Member Ardian Kollozi, in order to spread panic among the residents. His cousin Genis Mehillaj is still at large, wanted by the Police.
