One prosecutor and one legal expert were sent to Greece by order of the
Prosecutor General, Adriatik Llalla, to withdraw what are considered as
very important evidence about the investigation started in Fier for the
death of Ilia Kareli.
One source said for Top Channel that the representative of the Prosecution and Morgue will take Kareli’s heart from Athens, together with some skin issues removed from his body.
The Fier Prosecution confirms that they are investigating the death of Ilia kareli after a report made by his family members. They claim that he died out of tortures, which is the most probable suspicion.
If the prison guards will be punished only over power abuse, the Albanian Prosecution will investigate them, although the Greek Prosecution says they have a video evidence about his torture.
The Albanian coroners asked why their Greek counterparts had taken Kareli’s heart. The answer for this question will be given after they will arrive in Athens.
