Prosecution office demanded former MP Marko Frroku to be sentenced to 25 years in prison on 4 charges, including the murder of Aleksandër Kurti in 1999.

Prosecutors think Frroku should also be banned from exercising public duties for 10 years and told in court the former MP is known in Belgium with five names. Authorities say he killed Kurti after a conflict for women control. But while his suspected accomplice Kristjan Marinaj was declared innocent, prosecutors think Frroku should get 17 years in prison for the crime, even though they have the same investigative materials.

But prosecution also accuses Frroku for money laundering and demands he is sentenced to 15 years in prison for the crime because dozens of his assets amounting in almost 15 million Euros are believed to derive from criminal activities. He is also accused for constructing without the proper permits a building in Tirana.

He now has time until March 30th to prepare a defense case meanwhile he is also defendant in another legal process in the High Court, in dhe Bami-Doshi case.
