The Prosecution of Tirana is bringing two people to trial for the death
of 17-year-old Ardit Gjoklaj at the Sharra Landfill, last august.
Defrim Hakrama, manager at the 3R company, and Edmond Kollari, excavator operator, have not respected the work regulation, causing the death of the 17-year-old, who also worked for this company.
Based on a report filed by Municipal councilors of the Democratic Party, the Prosecution is also investigating “Eco Tirana” for possible responsibilities.
Despite the Prosecution’s investigations, “Eco Tirana” was founded on December 5th, 2016, several months after the boy’s death.
Gjoklaj was killed by a heavy vehicle on his work site, where the 3R company, contracted by the Municipality of Tirana, was recycling waste materials.
