The Prosecution of Serious crimes declared their request against Dritan
Dajti, asking the Court to find convict him for nine charges, four of
which are murders of four police officers, for which the Police
requested four life sentenced.
Prosecutor Ardian Nexha told the Court that for the murder of Fatos Xhani, Saimir Duckollari, Kastriot Feskaj and Altin Dizdari, Dajti must be declared guilty and sentenced to life in prison.
The Prosecutor also accused Dajti for the murder of Ledjona Mara; for wounding a minor, Fatjon Shamku, and asked 25 years in prison for these crimes.
The Prosecution also accused Dajti for illegal arm possession, for possessing a police uniforms and for falsifying documents in two episodes.
The Prosecutor explained the dynamic of the murder of four police officers in August 2009, and how Dajti killed one person and injured a minor while trying to flee from the police.
The Dajti process became normal only three weeks ago, after the judge was threatened with his life. The Court of Serious Crimes decided to continue the process behind closed doors.
The Dajti process has been the longest trial in the 10 years of existence of the Court of Serious Crimes. It is still unclear who will serve as Dajti’s defensive lawyer, since no one has accepted to represent him.
