Prosecution requested file for Balili from Greece

The Prosecution of Serious Crimes asked the Greek Authorities to pass
them the investigative materials of Klement Balili, former
Transportation Director for Saranda. The surveillance tape made for
Greece have shown nothing compromising so far, in order to allow an
arrest.

This action of the Prosecution was undertaken after the announcements saying that the Greek Justice is looking to arrest the 44-year-old wanted for international drug traffic.

But the Albanian Prosecution cannot act without having information to justify the implication of Balili. They cannot arrest him without concrete evidence.

This procedural actions undertaken by the Albanian authorities was confirmed on Top Channel’s Top Story by the Minister of Justice, Ylli Manjani.

The Greek justice authorities say they are translating the documents to send it to Albania, until there is a decision for his arrest.

Balilaj was considered by the Greek media as the “drug baron”, seen as the head of this criminal organization which is accused of sending tons of cannabis to the EU.
