Prosecution investigates Ristani

The case was opened six days after the Socialist Party filed a criminal
suit at the Tirana Prosecution against the Central Election Commission
and three other members, Klement Zguri, Vera Shtjefni and Hysen Osmanaj.
The case will be investigated by Deputy Prosecutor Genci Qano. Official sources said that prosecution cannot investigate the actions of the Central Election Commission in these moments, because this is a competence of the Electoral College.
CEC Chairman and the three other members have been accused with criminal charges from the Socialist Party for power abuse, falsifying documentations and election results, provided by the Criminal Code articles 248, 326 and 25.
This suit, filed by the Secretary of Legal Cases for the Socialist Party, Fatmir Xhafa, asks the prosecution to make a toxicological evaluation on CEC Chairman Arben Ristani, and also psychological tests for assessing his mental health according to articles 179 and 182.
