The Temporary Prosecutor General, Arta Marku, has suddenly replaced Besim Hajdarmataj, President of the Prosecution of Serious Crimes, with Donika Preka, President of the Durres Prosecution since January.
The decision comes right after the Durres Prosecution declared that they had no competence over the case of former Prosecutor General, Adriatik Llalla, and passed it to the Prosecution of Serious Crimes.
Hajdarmataj is also one of the Prosecutors who is investigating the Habilaj-Tahiri acse. He will stay at the Serious Crimes, but only as common Prosecutor. His removal comes one day after Hajdarmataj summoned for questioning Gentian Ceka, driver of former Interior Minister, Saimir Tahiri.
Another coincidence (or not) is that the transfer was made one day after secret files were stolen from the postman of the Durres Prosecution, who was carrying documents of six important files.
Top Channel asked the Prosecution and the response was that the stolen acts were recoverable and not classified.
