Property sale, not without notary’s verification

The government is giving a good opportunity to the notaries with their
number of clients, but on the other hand, the new decision promises to
guarantee more transparency on the real estate property verification
process when it is purchased.

This law was approved by the government and is expected to pass in Parliament during the next week. The law will enter in act on January 2012.

The essence of the propositions made by the Ministry of Justice consists in increasing the notary’s role in the moment when they sign the sale act.

Currently, this procedure takes 23 days and is composed of five phases. After the new changes it will be over in 13 days, since all actions will be realized online.

An important fact is that the notary has the right to sign and verify the real estate in the Property Registration Records in the online system. If he will note any discrepancies, he will not sign the act.
