The consortium that will build the Trans Adriatic Pipeline declared that
they have contracted a Dutch company that will negotiate with the land
owners where the project will pass.
According to the now complete project, the pipeline will pass through 38 Albanian communes and municipalities, including the Municipality of Durres and Berat.
According to the Azeri ABC news agency, the TAP leaders have asked the Dutch company to sent 200 employees to Albania, Italy and Greece, who first will contact all land owners where the pipeline will pass.
The company will make a detailed verification of the property documents to identify the legitimate land owners. According to the consortium, after this phas will be concluded, TAP will start signing agreements with individuals to purchase or rent the properties where the pipeline will pass. The construction is predicted to start in 2015 and is expected to be completed by 2019.
