Mynyr Koni, the Rector of the Tirana University, was summoned by the
Prosecution of Serious Crimes regarding the investigations against
Emiliano Shullazi, who is accused of threatening him because of his job.

The rector insisted that he did not know the people who threatened him: “I didn’t recognize their faces. One of them, sitting in the back seat, told me to withdraw from the race and ordered me to get out of the car”, this is the declaration of Koni.

The Prosecution also interrogated former Rector Dhori Kule, the person who Koni had told about the threat. The former rector was also questioned about the threats made to him in a Tirana hotel. But Kule too declared that he didn’t remember who had threatened him.

The Prosecution will summon two businessmen who have been extorted by Shullazi, according to the Secret Service. Meanwhile, the Prosecution has not found yet the address of Jani Zaka, the witness who testified about a conflict regarding a parking space in Tirana.
