A few days after a Prosecutor was attacked by an inmate at the Shen Koll
prison, the Association of Prosecutors reacted with a declaration,
saying that this is not an isolated case.
The Association raises the alarm that Prosecutors are facing verbal pressures from individuals and criminal structures, and even by political segments.
The Head of the Association, Shkelqim Hajdari, raises the alarm by adding that these episodes make it necessary for Prosecutors to have a Security Police, part of the Prosecution General, because the current structure is not functional.
The Association of Prosecutors appeals the Prison Directory to take measures by improving the sublegal acts and guarantee maximal security for Prosecutors and Judiciary Police officers within detention cells.
