The government decision to raise salaries of police officers had the attention of the Prison Police Directory.
The Directory says that the raise should include prison guards as well, since law 10.032 of 2008 has never been really implemented.
“This article provides that Prison Police should be treated financially the same as the State Police”, declared Arben Qerimi, specialist at the General Prison Police.
“Today we have prepared a draft decision for the raise that prison guards need to benefit based on this law, and it is 15.000 ALL”, Qerimi says.
The request will pass first at the Minister of Justice, who will have to pass it to the Council of Ministers, in case he approves it.
