Prifti’s third video-scandal

This is a video that shows a conversation between Dritan Prifti and a known businessmen with close ties to the Albanian Government, discussing about corruptive affairs related to scrap metals.

The third video was taken during a control that the foreign experts made to the video recorder that the MP Dritan Prifti handed over to the Prosecution for denouncing Meta’s pressure for favoring a businessman in the hydropower industry.

Together with Meta’s video file, Prifti had handed over two other videos, against his will, since he thought he had deleted them.

One of them shows Prifti with his former Deputy Minister, what was an investigation object for a trial against Prifti himself.

The third video was declared by the prosecutor of the Meta trail, Bujar Sheshi, as a video that should not be given to the Albanian experts, because it could end up in Meta’s hands and he could use it for pressuring the main witness of the case.

The video was sent to the Tirana Prosecution and the task-force has opened an investigation for active corruption against the persons who exert public functions.

The prosecution hid the existence of this video for a long time, and filed it for starting the investigation.
