The Albanian President, Bamir Topi, attended a meeting with two of his predecessors, Alfred Mojsiu and Rexhep Mejdani.
The latest developments and the aggravated political situation in our country was the center of the discussion. It not only damages the democracy and its institutions, but also delays the progress with the all-inclusive reforms, and the fulfillment of the 12 EU recommendations for Albania’s candidate status.
Two former Presidents, Moisiu and Meidani, emphasized together with President Topi the necessity of decreasing political tensions and return institutional life to normality, especially for the Albanian Parliament, and urged the political parties to find the necessary will for implementing the much needed reforms.
