President’s Office: Peshkopia Municipality election date within legal deadlines

The President’s Office reacted today after the Socialist Party argued that the date scheduled for the Peshkopia Municipality election was invalid.

“The election in Dibra will be held on Spetember 11, the date fully complies with legal deadlines. The President published his decree in 48 hours after the notification from the Constitutional Court”, Olsi Lafe, chief of cabinet said, adding: “The President hopes and demands in a free and fair process”.

Earlier today, the Socialist Party declared that the President’s decree was invalid because the Constitutional Court decision was not published and demanded Nishani withdrew his decision because violates the Electoral Code.
