The Socialist Party MP. Blerina Gjylameti, declared that different from
what the President claimed, the Parliament has the right to decide the
cases discharging of the Supreme State Audit Director.
“The law respects decision 212 of the Constitutional Court. Although the Constitution has no laws regarding the cases when the leader of such institutions is discharged or his mandate is terminated, this doesn’t mean that the organic laws can be decided only for the cases that the Constitution has decided for other Constitutional institutions”, declared Blerina Gjylameti, Socialist Party MP.
The opposition voted in favor fo the decree. Ridvan Bode asked the majority to change the article for discharing the head of the Supreme State Audit. He said that the law damages the independence of the SSA.
Socialist MP, Erjon Brace, said that the new law leaves less space for the cases when there is a request for discharging the SSA Director, but the proposition remains still a competence of the President.
Bode replied by saying that the current law has five cases, all closed.
The SSA representatives gave no comments about this article, which they say has a conflict of interest. They supported the law in general and demanded an approval.
