Friday marked the end of the electoral campaign for the first round of presidential elections in Macedonia.

The leader of the BDI, Ali Ahmeti, declared during a meeting in Bogovina, Tetovo, that none of the presidential candidates are consensual, and they don’t deserve the vote of Albanians on April 13th.

“On April 13th we will go to picnic, because it is not our solution. We have offered a solution and we will work hard until it is realized. Great projects require time and energy”, declared the Head of the BDI, Ali Ahmeti.

The only Albanian candidate who participates in the presidential elections, Iljaz Halimi, declared that the vote will make Albanians an important factor and appealed for massive votes.

“I accepted to be part of this race only on behalf of the Albanian people, so that we can become a factor and be part of the decision for electing the President”, declared Iljaz Halimi, presidential candidate of the PDSH.

The leader of the PDSH, Menduh Thaci, expects support from Albanians on April 13th for Iljaz Halimi. He expressed his conviction that his party will win over Ali Mehmeti’s BDI in the elections of April 27th.

“It is clear that they are scared. We will work together so that people who have voted for them so far will not feel hesitant. Nothing horrible will happen. Just BDI will leave power”, declared Menduh Thaci.

The Macedonian candidates have also appealed for massive votes on April 13th. The electoral silence will stop on Sunday evening, when the ballot boxes will be closed.
