President Topi in Qatar

He declared that Albania is a country that has built its history through several cultures and religions, since paganism and until today; a journey that has enriched the Albanian identity and that immortalized the words of Vaso Pasha, who said that “The religion of Albanians is albanianism”.

“For most Albanians, the Alliance of Civilizations is a concrete reality. The principles of this initiative are a natural part of the Albanian traditions heritage, which are based on a long-termed coexistence between the main existing religions, along the entire ancient and modern history”. Topi declared.

He added that the Alliance of Civilizations is playing an important role in building communication bridges between the societies, by promoting good understanding and by affecting the reduction of inequalities in the world.

The President was received by the Emir of Qatar, Hamad Bin Khalifa Al Thani, also expressed his appreciation for the constant support of the state of Qatar in recognizing Kosovo’s independence, by emphasizing that Western Balkan has won stable security with its market that is composed of countries that have their future in the euro-atlantic structures that present an attractive opportunity for investments in the region.

A meeting was also held with the Albanians that live in Qatar.
