The Albanian President, Bamir Topi met with his Austrian homologue, Heinz Fischer.
The meeting was held at the Presidential Palace “Hofburg”, in Vienna, where the President Topi expressed his gratitude for the support that the Government of Austria has given to Albania, especially for the EU integration.
President Topi underlined that it is a priority for the Albanian Foreign Policy, expressing his trust that through serious efforts and with the help of European Countries, such as Austria, our country will receive the EU candidate status very soon.
The head of the Albanian State valued the significance of a deeper economic cooperation and further trade exchanges with Austria, for intensifying the investments of the Austrian businesses in Albania.
While the President of Austria, Heinz Fischer guaranteed that Austria will continue to give support for a further development of Albania.
