President summons National Security Council

The President said that the latest events show that terrorism knows no borders, that’s why cooperation and stronger measures are needed for preventing it.

“Albania has faced the phenomenon of foreign wars, the contingent of elements who have fought to Syria and Iraq. But these are investigated cases. I want to congratulate the excellent cooperation between the police, the intelligence services and the prosecution”, Nishani declared.

Prime Minister Rama said that our country has several security structures, but there is still space for making them more efficient.

The creation of a security structure is a priority, same as the reinforcing of the threat prevention system.

“The functionality of the National Security system is our challenge. It requires coordination in the highest political and executive level. It requires training and testing, so that it can be tested even when something happens and puts the system to a challenge”, Rama declared.
