President, Patozi writes to Ruci

After the critics on the media, the majority decided to establish the
first contact with the opposition for finding a consensus about the next
Albanian President.

The Democratic Parliamentary Group leader, Astrit Patozi, also a member of the negotiating group for the presidential election, established by the Democratic Party leadership this Thursday, sent a letter to his Socialist homologue, Gramoz Ruci.

The letter has been sent in an institutional way, by being filed at the Parliament’s Presidency.

“The presidential election should serve to the creation of a new communication level between the political forces, and for establishing a new emancipation level of our Democratic society. In this context, we are looking for a transparent, civil, all inclusive, serious and constitutional process that will honor each of us that represent it”, the letter says.

After underlining the authorization of the Democratic Party, together with Mr. Edmond Spaho, the Democratic Parliamentary Group leader, Astrit Patozi, invited the opposition to start the meetings at the Parliament even this Saturday, and discuss about the name and election of the presidential election.

“We are open to start even tomorrow and meet your negotiators at the Albanian Parliament, on the day and time that you see as appropriate. Looking forward to your answer, I express my highest consideration”, Patozi’s letter concludes.
