The incumbent President of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani held today a meeting with the leader of the Albanian opposition Lulzim Basha at the headquarters of the Democratic Party.
Basha showed full support for Kosovo and the issue they have with Serbia, emphasizing that very soon they will have the full power of the country on their side.
Basha said: “I am proud that we have done everything for the independence and recognition of Kosovo. The Assembly must vote on a resolution condemning Serb crimes in Kosovo. History cannot be written by aggressors. We strongly support the Serbia-Kosovo dialogue for final recognition and to pave the way for European integration. One of the first decisions of my government will be the removal of the toll on Road of the Nation. We have a great obligation to the youth in Albania and Kosovo. As two representatives of the new generation in politics, we see the future of the two countries in youth. Issue 3, cooperation in the fight against state capture, crime and corruption. Deep gratitude for Osmani’s clear messages. I assure the people of Kosovo that as chairman of the Democratic Party I will do everything to achieve high cooperation “, said Basha.
Meanwhile Vjosa Osmani asked for support in the complicated Kosovo-Serbia relationship, where former KLA leaders who are in the Special Court in The Hague are charged with war crimes. The Kosova president stressed that Serbia is falsifying history by denying the allegations of genocide against the Albanian people during the Kosova war.
