The Albanian President, Bujar Nishani, together with his family, wished a happy new year to all Albanians, especially the youth, which is becoming more active in resolving our country’s problems.
“The future of the European Union demands a new mentality”, the Head of State declared.
“I wish a happy new year to you, wherever you are, with your family, relatives, friends and people you love, far or close to them, celebrating or not, or by staying on duty. Let this be a day of happiness for everyone”
We have difficult days ahead of us. It is a huge burden and I hope that the youth will carry part of that burden, by increasing the trust to their work and opportunities.
Because we may find ways to reduce the public debt, for raising awareness and having fast and efficient justice, for a fight without compromise against corruption, for reducing unemployment in resolving sharp problems that we are facing as a society, problems that cannot be resolved without the participation of the youth, far from noises and calculations.
I am convinced that the young generations have a radicated value of national identity and of the rule of law.
The future of our country in the European Union demands a new mentality, and this is what the young people of this country connect to their lives.
Let’s remember the significant facts: the conduct of elections in past June, when our people showed that they see their future with trust.

We are living behind a year from which we should take the necessary lessons and face the year that is coming. This is a battle that we need to win at any cost. Let this new year be a further step in the country’s path of progress.
