President, Nano attacks Berisha

Only a few hours earlier, after the Socialist leader declared that the majority was doing diversion with Fatos Nano, the latter released a harsh declaration against Berisha, for the first time after many years.

Before the fourth voting round, after the immediate resignation of Artan Hoxha, Fatos Nano declared that Nishani’s candidacy was against the constitution, because he had not resigned from the post of the Interior Minister.

According to Nano, this infringement was similar to that of Ilir Beqaj, former Socialist MP, who lost his mandate after the Constitutional Court decision.  

After 60 minutes, in another declaration, Nano expressed his disappointment for the process. Nano attacked even Prime Minister Berisha, whom he considers as the only responsible for the political crisis in our country.

Nano said that Berisha loved his power more than the state of the Albanians, and blamed him for what was considered a degeneration of the Presidential Election.

In this declaration he underlined the fact that the Prime Minister failed for the second time to elect a decent President.

In the third declaration, after Nishani’s election, Nano underlined that today more than ever the Albanians need to be united, and Bujar Nishani must symbolize the national unity.

The former Prime Minister, Fatos Nano, felicitated Nishani by valuing the voting procedure in the Parliament, which, according to him, was very transparent.

Nano concludes his declaration by saying that the Nano Movement considers its mission closed and that there will be other updates.
