The Albanian President, Ilir Meta, sent a message to Holy Father Pope
Francis, for the 1st anniversary of Mother Theresa’s canonization.
Meta expressed the sincere gratitude of the Albanian people for the canonizing such an important figure for the people of Albania.
Meta said that the declaring of Mother Theresa a Saint in Vatican, appointing of father Ernest Troshani as Cardinal, and the beatification of 38 martyrs from the Albanian Catholic Church, marked some of the most impressive events for Catholics and the Albanian people during the past year.
