The President of Albania, Ilir Meta, received the European Commission
General Director for Neighboring and Accession Negotiations, Christian
Danielson.
Their discussion focused on the five priorities of the European Commission for opening the negotiations, expectances for the judiciary reform and the electoral reform.
President Meta underlined the importance of fulfilling the five priorities of the European Commission, and expressed his optimism that they will be fulfilled on time.
He also underlined that the legal expectancies of the Albanian citizens, and the big European and American investment on the Judiciary Reform should bring qualitative advancing and a quick and efficient establishing of all institutions that will vet judges and prosecutors.
Meta also underlined the importance of starting the electoral reform at the Parliament, to treat with seriousness all concerns and recommendations established by the OSCE/ODIHR report.
