The President of Albania, Ilir Meta, met with the Speaker of Macedonia, Talat Xhaferri.
Meta valued the fact that for the first time there is an Albanian politician as Speaker of the Parliament in Macedonia and also underlined that this is a huge responsibility.
President Meta encouraged Xhaferri to contribute as much as possible to the political and multi-ethnic co-existence in Macedonia.
Both politicians shared the same opinion that the Albanian factor in Macedonia is very important for stability, especially as EU and NATO orientation.
The President stated he was hopeful that the Macedonian Parliament would soon pass the law for use of Albanian as second official language.
Meta added that Macedonia is at a key moment and that Albania will support its NATO accession.
