The President of Albania, Ilir Meta, returned the first law of the Rama government for review in Parliament.

This is the law of Judiciary Fees which was approved with just the votes of the majority and was opposed by the Democratic Party and Socialist Movement for Integration.

The Presidency has not published the arguments that pushed the President to take the decision, but the initiative met debates during discussions at the Parliamentary commissions as well.

The law changes fees for all lawsuits at court, with a progressive rise. This initiative was part of the judiciary reform.
