The President of the Republic, Ilir Meta has decreed today five electoral laws approved by the Albanian Parliament after the electoral agreement of June 5, 2020.
The President with the decree and entry into force of these laws, asked the bodies designated by law, the Central Election Commission,
The Special Anti-Corruption Prosecution Office (SPAK), the General Prosecutor’s Office, and any other body that has legal competencies under the amendments, to take all necessary measures and increase cooperation in order to draft the necessary bylaws and implement the amendments.
Any negative phenomenon, which endangers or violates the freedom of the vote, or aims at distorting the will of the sovereign, must be severely punished, in order to preserve the legitimacy of the electoral process, until the final certification of the results, added the presidency.
