President meets US Ambassador after accusations of former Prosecutor General

After the meeting of the Albanian President with the US Ambassador to Tirana, Donald Lu, the Presidency issued a press release in which they said that the meeting was “friendly and cooperative, as always”.

Arben Cici, Chief of Staff of the Albanian President, responded to the media interest since one day ago former Prosecutor General, Adriatik Llalla, said that the US Ambassador had asked him to arrest Ilir Meta, and he had refused.

“The President received today the US Ambassador, Donald Lu. They discussed about the excellent relations between both of our countries and about regional and international security matters”, says the President’s reaction.
