President Macron welcomes PM Rama in Paris: Albania has advanced on the path to EU integration

President of France Emanuel Macron congratulated today Albania on the progress towards EU ascension during the press conference he held with Prime Minister Edi Rama.
He said that he was impressed by the reforms that the country has undertaken within the goal of membership and emphasized that France will support Albania in its journey towards EU integration.
“You know you can trust my determination. I want to repeat France’s commitment in favor of the country’s membership in the EU and the movement we have for the Western Balkans. This is about acting for the unification of Europe, to make it stronger.
“Since the holding of the first intergovernmental conference between the EU and Albania, Albania has continued its path towards integration. We are impressed by the thoroughness of the reforms and the capacity to advance under your leadership. I welcome Albania’s voice in the region and on the international scene” – said Macron among other things.
