On the Justice Day, the Albanian President, Bamir Topi, appealed for
reflection and giving the best efforts for the biggest challenge of this
country, that of receiving the EU candidate status.
The President noted the importance of a functional justice system as a guarantee of a democracy of high standards.
“The Justice Day is celebrated on the 100th year of independence, and this is a great international event. As regards integration, the functionality of the judicial system, as a guarantee of a democratic society, improves the judicial system and its consolidation. The independence, impartiality, war against corruption and impartial treatment of the cases in trials are a guarantee of democracy. A functional democracy is related with a normal functionality of the judicial system”, Topi underlined.
According to him, the Albanians have the right to have a professional justice of good standards and moral integrity for their basic rights and freedoms.
