President, Holtkemper: We support consensus

The German Ambassador to Tirana, Karola Holtkemper, joined the voices of
foreign diplomats who commented the election of the next President.
During a visit in Burrel, Mrs. Holtkember declared for the journalists that the President should be elected in full accordance with the Constitution, but she underlined that for this position, a compromise between the parties is more than welcome, and that the candidate should have some special qualities as Head of the State.
“The President should be elected according to the rules. Albania has a Constitution that clearly establishes the way how the President is chosen. But we support a consensus between the parties, for finding a name that has the special qualities of a President”, the Ambassador declared.
