The Albanian President, Bujar Nishani, wished merry Christmas to all Christian Albanians wherever they might be.
“We wish merry Christmas to our relatives and friends, as we have done for centuries by celebrating altogether with our religious tolerance and co-existence”, Nishani underlined.
The President remembered the people in need who deserve more help from the others.
The President declared that our heart goes to those unfortunate people who need more human compassion. He appealed people to see Christmas as a good chance to increase solidarity, together, as a nation, without any distinction.
Nishani mentioned the visit of the Holy Father in Albania, Pope Francis, and the reception of the candidate status this year.
“Let’s forget what divides us and let’s join our forces, energies and wisdom with the wish that God will bless Albania and the Albanian people in their path towards prosperity and towards the big European family”, the President declared.
