President asks CEC report about admission of new MPs

While the Parliamentary Commission of Laws is reviewing the request of 55 MPs to remove him from duty, the President of Albania, Ilir Meta, has asked the Central Election Commission a report about the procedures regarding the way how the seats vacated by the opposition were filled by other MPs.

The question here is why did the president make this request about the Parliament? Is he going to disperse it, as a revenge to the majority that wants to remove him from his duty?

Another option could be that the President is drafting a defense strategy before he is called to testify in front of the Special Investigative Commission.

These questions will receive an answer in the days to come. The fight between the President and the Parliament has just started.
