The historic visit of Pope Francis has intensifed the works at Tirana’s
main boulevard, where the Holy Father will come during his visit in
Albania.
Flags are placed in both sides of the Rinas airport, while the planting of trees did not stop even in bad weather.
The road from the Airport to the Mother Theresa Square, where the solemn mass will be held, has been decorated with flags and a portrait of the Pope.
Every citizen has noticed the repaired facades, the painting of lamps and the increased number of trees and plants. Workers are currently installing the scene for the Pope at the Mother Theresa square.
The week before the Pope’s arrival is full activities. The Conference of Bishops, in cooperation with the Ministry of Culture, opened the scientific conference: “Catholic Church for Albanians, and the Albanians who receive the Holy Father”, this Monday morning.
There will be other activities during the entire week, since this is the first visit of Pope Francis, and his first visit in Europe after being chosen Pope in Vatican.
