The rapporteur for Albania at the European Parliament, Knut
Fleckenstein, was informed by the Interior Minister, Saimir Tahiri, on
the security reform on our country and the results in the fight against
corruption and organized crime, which will be noted down to be included
in the draft-resolution, as the German Social Democratic MP said.

When asked by Top Channel for the opposition’s request regarding the passing of these acts and the implementation of the so-called “for decriminalization”, Fleckenstein said that he asked the Minister about the “Prenga” case and hoped there was no boycott from the opposition.

Tahiri said that the solution is not a political mission with specific names, but the passing of sub-legal acts. The Minister invited the opposition once again the resolve the sub-legal acts that would make the law implementation effective. “The majority has undertaken the necessary political acts to condemn the act properly and make possible that this example doesn’t turn in a political boycott. I see a political boycott when it should be the contrary”, the Minister added.

“I don’t wish for the opposition to boycott the Parliament, but I hope they will do everything possible to vote the sub-legal acts as soon as possible to avoid such unpleasant developments”, Fleckenstein said.
