In the annual meeting with the diplomatic representatives accredited in
Vatican, Pope Francis made another appeal for stopping and condemning
any kind of violence that is made on behalf of religion.
In this meeting, the Holy See mentioned in front of the present diplomats the example of religious co-existence in Albania.
“A real evidence that the co-existence culture is possible was something that I experienced in Albania. A nation of young people who are the hope of tomorrow. Despite the suffering in the history of their nation, the Albanian people are characterized by peaceful cooperation between religions. A climate of mutual respect and trust between Catholics, Muslims and Orthodox. This is an important sign that a sincere trust in God generates dialogue which is good for all. Violence brings always a mystification of religion, with the pretext projects that aim the domination of people on men”, Pope Francis declared.
