After politicians failed to find consensus for the new members of the High Councils of the Judiciary and Prosecution, as foreseen by the judiciary reform, the members of the third list brought for discussion were automatically appointed. The first one who greeted this was the US Ambassador to Tirana, Donald Lu:
“Politicians on the right and the left are afraid of the judicial reform. Don’t focus on the bad news that politicians again failed to work together to select members of the KLGJ and KLP. Focus on the good news that the Constitution predicted this and it selected members by random today. Honestly, I have more faith in random selection, than in selection by politicians. Judicial reform takes another step forward”, said US Ambassador Donald Lu
