Political parties’ dialogue failed

Political parties couldn’t find a common language on the draft-agreement proposed by Democratic Party on May 8th local elections.

The ruling party was unable to accept any of the demands made by the Socialist Party, making it clear that those points are not part of the proposed document.

Democratic Party parliamentary group leader, Astrit Patozi, appointed another meeting for tomorrow, giving all political parties more time to think.

“I propose to meet tomorrow on the same hour and decide to sign the agreement, which is important for the political forces’ commitment on a normal election process”, Patozi declared.

His socialist counterpart couldn’t find it acceptable and declared that if the majority does not accept their propositions, there is no reason to have a new meeting.

“We expressed our point of view and we declared our concerns. We are ready for a meeting between both party leaders, and if they find a common language, then we can call this meeting again.” Ruçi said.
