Political asylum in Croatia, only hope for Morina

Ismail Morina has started procedures for political asylum in Croatia, according to his lawyer.

The application has suspended for the moment his extradition to Serbia. This is the reason why this matter will only be resolved after the Justice Minister of Croatia takes a decision.

A few days ago, the Albanian Justice Ministry asked their counterparts to do everything possible for avoiding Morina’s extradition to Belgrade.

The Staff Director of the Albanian Football Federation, Denis Bastari, said that they have received guarantee even from Prime Minister Rama that there will be constant efforts to find a quick solution to this matter.

“The Prime Minister guaranteed President Duka that all efforts are being done for Morina to be released the soonest possible”, Bastari said.
