Police Supervision Agency has asked the Tirana Prosecutor’s Office to investigate the police officers suspected of using violence against a juvenile today.
The minor was escorted to the police station as soon as he finished school, as it was found that he was driving a vehicle without appropriate documentation.
17-year-old K.J is suspected of being questioned without the presence of psychologists and without informing the parents, as required by the law for juveniles.
In addition, the allegation is that the child was slapped in the face while being questioned.
The two juveniles were handed over to the Kamza police station by the mobile forces as one of them was driving the vehicle without a driving license and his passenger, also detained, was a passenger.
In addition to the questioning of the two juveniles who confessed what happened in the police station, the arbitrary actions were confirmed by one of the officers who accompanied K.J in the police station.
Officer A. Shima says that a civilian agent approached the juvenile K.J, asking him where he lived, while accusing him of “running away from me one more time”, as he slapped him in the face.
Officer Shima claims that he intervened to calm down his colleague, who was then removed from the room.
